Forenom Aparthotel Malmö Varvsstaden is a new aparthotel (opened in 2019) in a renovated property built in 1912. The property was previously used as the headquarters for Kockums, a shipyard founded in Malmö in 1820. The shipyard was one of the largest employers in the city for a long time. The interior follows a unique design concept by Wingårdhs, which is inspired by the industrial area in Varvsstaden. The apartments are all unique and vary in size 15 - 47 sqm. One of the floors has a ceiling height of 4 meters and offers flexible accommodation with a loft. All apartments have their own kitchen and bathroom. The common facilities include a laundry room and social areas to get in touch with other guests staying at the aparthotel. Access to the apartments is done with a key code, which makes your stay simple and comfortable. Monthly parking can be arranged at extra cost. The aparthotel is in Västra Hamnen, close to the city center and a short walk to the Central Station. The surrounding area offers several grocery stores and restaurants, a gym and other amenities. In a few minutes you will reach the Nordic Sea, where you will find a wonderful esplanade. Public transport runs by bus and train to and from Central Station. A train journey to Copenhagen Airport takes just 20 minutes.
